Mums can be a real challenge to please so something different should go down well on the day.

Birthday Present for Boyfriend Ideas

Wrapped Present

Finding a decent birthday present can be frustrating if you have a hard to buy for partner. Here is a quick list of things worth considering:

1. A helium balloon in a box, these are universally appealing and there are many designs to choose from. The products are growing in popularity all the time as the perfect compliment to a bigger present. Balloons typically come in a decorated box with decorations such as confetti and tissue paper and some will also bundle extras like chocolates or soft toys. Check our Balloon suggestions about Birthday Present for Boyfriend Ideas for more information.

2. If you have a large amount of cash going spare, the Lazy boy chair is one of those gadgets that come up in discussion as something guys just want. It will cost around £900 though :) You will certainly put a smile on his face if he likes that sort of thing.

3. Following on from this games consoles are always a safe bet. Whether its a game for one he already has or a brand new console, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii’s the choices are pretty wide at the moment.

4. Does your partner like golf? The golfing accessories market is large and there are numerous potential gifts that exist in the golfing range. A set of golf lessons can also be well received as you can never be too good at golf. Alternatively you could send a golf figurine.

5. If your feeling like really making his day, you could purchase a portable stage stripper pole. The pole is becoming a great way to work out, but more importantly really give your partner something to smile about. So a potentially dual benefit from this.

7 Valentines Day Ideas Worth Their Weight

Valentines Heart

Valentines day can be good and bad depending on which side of the fence you find yourself. None the less its the taking part that counts and finding the right present can be difficult even for the smooth. Here are 7 ideas that might go down well on valentines day:

  1. A Suprise Helium Balloon in a box – Send a balloon to their workplace or home so that they are the ones to open it. Most companies package them so that on opening the box, the helium balloon rises up. Of course it will need to be a love heart or something similar but you can get extra brownie points if you find a bundle with chocolate, perfume or flowers. Most notably Latestgifts.co.uk do perfume & fragrances as well as a helium balloon in a box and trimmings – Find Valentines Gift Ideas here.
  2. Write a poem – This one costs you nothing and will make you feel full of cliche but the thought and effort that goes into something like this usually gains serious attention and grattitude. Best not to make it too soppy though.
  3. Blue Peter could save your day with the ‘heres one I made earlier’ excellence, instructions can be found on their site here.
  4. Secret Romantic Locations – This one can go one way or the other as what might be your idea of a romantic place such as a Ferrari Garage or Jimmy Choo shop might not be the same for your partner. Find a sun set, view of the sea or somewhere memorable for you both like where you first met and get off to a good start.
  5. If no gift seems to go quite far enough to express your love then perhaps this will… For the past few years couples have been able to get rings grown from samples of their bone literally. In 2005 the BBC reported that rings can be grown using special techniques from a couples bone sample – pretty romantic eh?!
  6. Plane Banners – Have a plane tow your message in the sky for original bonus points, though these days you are likely to be unlucky with the weather. Has anyone every tried this?
  7. Finally you could go as far as this guy and literally gift wrap a house. “The Hollywood stills photographer flew fiancee Maria Moral Pena to the Cotswolds by private jet from a skiing holiday in Switzerland to show off the spectacular gift.” If you have about 500k to spare that is ;)
